Brainwashing
I work in the design group in the marketing department of a large corporation. My boss (creative director) asked the eight of us who are designers to design posters in a sort of informal departmental contest. The posters were then voted on by the rest of the marketing department. I thought mine was pretty cool...even compared to some of the good ones the others designed. And it took quite a bit of work...so I was a little disappointed when it didn't even place in the top three. I dunno...maybe the rest of the marketing department take their job a
little too seriously. I'll let you all judge.
Whatever the case, this turned out to be a fun contest...and I helped support my fellow
iStockPhoto contributors by purchasing about $45 worth of stock photos for this project.
The only rules for the contest were:
- There were four elements that had to be used in the poster (since it was near Halloween):
- a witch
- a black cat
- a ghost
- a pumpkin
- No blood or hacked off or up body parts...since some of the marketing team have a more delicate stomach than most of the designers.
By the way, the bottle of detergent next to the brain jar is hard to read at this lower resolution. It's branded "Brain-B-Clean". It's a little clearer on a 34" x 44" poster than a little 710 pixel wide JPEG.
I hope you enjoyed my design.
