Hanging on to Its Color

image of a red and green leaf on red and gray lava rocks

This leaf caught my eye as I was walking by the flower beds of the Dallas Public Library today. All around the area were other leaves... brown and withered. But this leaf was hanging on for dear life to what color it had... even to the point that it almost seemed to be pulling more color from the red in the rocks on which it lay.
