close-up (macro) image of a little bitty lizard (gecko?)

This little fellow and his relatives have been hanging around behind our wall-mounted mailbox at night for a few years. Since the mailbox is right underneath the porch light, they know the insects will be nearby. So there they sit and wait for their lunch.

Yesterday morning this little guy was sitting on our front door and jumped down when I opened it. He ran in the house and skittered all over the place trying to escape me. I eventually trapped him and put him out on the sidewalk. He was scared half to death and didn't move for several minutes. Thus I was able to get this photo of him...after which he immediately scampered off into a corner to hide.
